    I just heard that they found about 7500 russian capture k98's down by the black sea in russia?
    Is this true?

    Huge numbers of K98icon's were captured by the Russians in WWII. Something like 4-5 million captured? 7500 found, entirely possible.

    Yes there are many, many thousands of K98ks still stashed away in the old soviet union. Most have not been bought by US importers because the ruskies have jacked the price to where they are not profitable.
    The same problem accounts for the fact that almost no G/K 43 rifles have been imported.

    &500 k98s, Thats just a drop in the bucket. Sounds like some one is trying to sell some overpriced k98 RCs.
