In the short time that I have been collecting, I have yet to go to a show. Is this where most people find things? My primary sources thus far have been garage/ estate sale, ebay, craigslist.

Gun shows-USA is hit or miss. For whatever reason they don't post all the local shows. I understand missing some if the smaller ones but I find it odd that the Bill Goodman shows use to be listed and no longer are. In short, it's an "ok" tool. But if you're looking for shows in your area don't rely on this to be a definitive guide.

Lots of different list of show look everywhere for local ones good place to find new addition for your collection plus talk to other about your collecting

I've found that particular website to be unreliable. Seems only about a third of the gun shows I'm aware of get listed there so I don't think they are happening. It's fine for the shows they list but not those they don't.
