    I had a crappy day......but,

I had an terrible crappy day....ugh....work is the pits....but at least I am working...

So with that dread of another day done and more to come, I stopped by my local shop on the way home to talk some firearms...drain off the day a bit before going home...prolly should have stopped for a pint or two as well at my local too but that is a different story...

So here I am hanging out and in walks a fellow with two enfields looking to sell them....I notice the buttstocks as he is takign them out of the cases...

They are both GRI Enfields No1 MkIII's dated in the mid forty's...(i'll get some pics up and proper numbers dates etc...) all setup for grenade launching with cups....!!!! ( i have been looking for one but haven't found one yet at a price I want to pay)

I examine the first one... stock is shrunk..non matching etc...the cup seems fine though..

The second on, although very dirty is all matching...even the stock has a number 9 painted on it and so does the cup....I feign non interest and ask him what he wants for it....but my local guy know I am intrigued by these enfields...

Guy says mater of factly that he will take no less than $ 150.00 for the rifle and cup... I wrote him a check on the spot and off he went thinking he made a great deal....,why yes we did....

In case anyone is interested there is one other complete rifle unmatching but decent cup for prolly the same price...if interested I can pass along the info....

So now that I am home typing I am enjoying a nice Boddy before dinner and then to take her out and give her a bath.....

He says he is coming back with a no5 mk1 something that he wants to get rid of too.....

    stay tuned....

Friend, I would think your day turned out just FINE!

All you need now is a case of Number 36M bombs and the right blanks....

    But first: a bath.

    Congrats on the new girl!
