A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. He would have been better off only showing one view. His own photos give them away!! Hahaha. He is so greedy he is getting careless. BUT...there are 9 suckers bidding it up to $89! What is sad, he never says they are REAL! Just from a trusted source. Ugh. What a thief!

BTW, I noticed on another forum that humpers are starting on SKSs now.

I'm a bit surprised. Nick has a lot of people on here who like, trust and recommend him. He knows Carbines and his items.
For him to write in his listing:
AGE AND ORIGIN OF SLING IS UNKNOWN. SOME COLLECTORS SAY ORIGINAL, SOME SAY NEW PRODUCTION, SOME SAY FOR RIESLING MACHINE GUN.
Is more then a bit misleading. He usually says newer production or repo in his listings.
Is he becoming the next Darth Vader?

Nick was informed they were not authentic some time ago Jim, but I don't think he ever agreed fully. (He just changed his ad to saying he didn't know)
He must have a boatload of them though, because he's been selling them week after week for a very long time. I haven't been checking ebay sales for well over a year and he was listing them with that 'semi'-disclaimer back then.

I think it hurt his credibility some with collectors, but not with some buyers, as I've seen them sell for high dollars.
Strangely, sometimes he'll have more than one listed at the same time and one will sell for a high price with guys bidding against each other and another would go for only a few dollars.

With guys like George making huge bucks by selling fake junk to so many uninformed new carbine owners, I guess it's difficult not to get on the band wagon to make some money.
SAD all the way around regardless.
