WWII factory pack of 10 SM Co carbine slings??

Asked this on CMPicon Forum also.

Trying to find out if this bunch of carbine slings was packed in 1944 or repacked sometime after the war.

I have spent a couple hours now on the internet searching with Google, CMP, Joustericon, Milsurp, etc. and can not find answers to my questions.

The pack was opened when I got it so I can't verify that the slings I got were original to the package.

Just wondering if someone familier with Drawing numbers, Contracts, etc can tell if this was actually a WWII package.

    Thanks,
    Ray

    They look good to me.

There is a guy in Franceicon who bought up some stash of military items. He has the same package markings and sells them for $135 each. So times 10 that is a pretty valuable pack.

    Ray,

What is it you are trying to accomplish exactly? You posted on the CMPicon forum that you actually bought two of your pictured slings from the seller in Franceicon and one of your pictured slings from a gun show. I don't really understand the point of this now. You know they are authentic slings but they were not together as a set originally.

Are you just trying to find if the markings on the package are correct WWII vintage so that you will have a put together set as if they were still original to a vintage package from WWII?

Actually, I was simply trying to find out if the package itself was WWII vintage, and that question was answered for me. I only posted where I got some of them in response to a direct question from another member on CMPicon.

The bag will be in my accumulation of M1icon carbine "stuff". The slings will all go on some of the carbines I have collected over the years.

The contract was Ordnance Number 180, which was 9/43 to 9/44.
