I am looking for original documents (preferably an official report) that details the US Army rifle trials in the early 1890s that resulted in the adoption of the Krag. I am looking for primary material rather than a write-up by a modern writer.
I have the Reports of the Chief of Ordnance for 1891 and 1893 (1892 seems not to be available), but was there a full report that covered the trials in detail?
I appreciate any leads on this.
Thanks!
P.S. Does anyone know who runs the Krag forums at Krag Collectors Association My best efforts to register there have failed, and I cannot get any response from the admin.Information
