A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. I was only in the UKicon once in 1977. They were in the same boat we in Canadaicon were. There was no division between the parties. All were extreme left wing and Royalists at the same time.

Canada had two main parties, the Progressive Conservatives and the Liberal Party. You couldn't tell the difference between them. It was one big circle jerk.

Today, the UK is under the grips of a "Coalition" government. Hardly any differences between any of the parties but they argue continuously over semantics. Usually on who is going to ban what next or which criminals to pat on the head.

Canada is now getting very close to heading down the same path. We are on the verge of having a "Coalition" government that would pretty much mirror the UK government.

I won't take this any further. Just know you're not alone. Firearms owners in Canada have been gathering on a website with over 70,000 members and growing. They have become a formidable force in Canadian politics. They get involved in all of the relavent polls in all of the medias available. They are making a huge difference. They financially support the party that is supportive of their rights as firearms owners and their ideals. It's been very effective. Last month, we only lost by one vote in parliament the repeal of long gun registration.

The UK, doesn't seem to have such a group. At least not one that's willing to go public.
