OT - Carbine Part Supplier Out of Business?

Did Reese Surplus go out of business? Web site popped up that domain was available. Hope Colleen is doing well.

And does anyone know who got all the left over carbine parts? (O.K., that is the collector in me)

    When Did This Happen?

I mailed an order in on 12/23 and I'm pretty sure the web site was still up then, or a day or two earlier. I also hope Colleen is OK. If anybody finds out what happened @ RSI please post. I'm sure some of us here would like to know that she's alright.

I did a little digging and detective work ...

I notice that web pages below their main home page are still accessible, so I'm not sure what that means.

They've either gone out of business as their main home page says and they've just put the message up on it only:

"Reese Surplus is no longer in business. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patronage.

... or, someone has hacked their main home page with that message and not touched the other pages layered below it?

Here's an example of a sub-page not touched and still active at this point.

    http://www.reesesurplus.com/collectables.html

Perhaps someone can call their telephone number and see what's up?

    Colleen

I bought a handguard off her early in December--she said they were shutting down and retiring. Did not mention any health issues. I think they still had a lot of stocks, not sure what will happen with it all. She said she was not going to sell on ebay either or at least was not using paypal any more.

Ok, I admit it... yes, with few exceptions, shoot'em all - but use USGI parts!

I have a buddy who works at RRA I will see in a couple weeks.
They are in colona. I'll see if he knows. I know the owner of RRA has a side company that sells parts.
He may be in on getting them.
