Some folks would not applaud rebluing, but I can't help thinking that once you get into refinishing, where to stop is very hard to say. No one is going to think this is original finish so go ahead and make it what you want would be my advice.
I like the factory blue, but that would not be easy to reproduce.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.

Thanks for the great pics of your Ross Sporter. I have one that needs stock work to look more appealing such as yours, the fore arm tip in particular. Had to deepen the chamber to get rid of some neck damage. Lost some neck but still shoots a .312 bullet quite well. Thanks again "G"

Thank you Grump09,
I am very happy with the gun now. I actually go and just look at it a few times per week.
Pick it up and handle it. I will mount on the wall soon. No rust has popped up.
Cleaning it up was a GREAT decision though others may not have approved.
I used Lyn seed oil on the stock and it came out GREAT. A very pretty gun.
Glad someone enjoyed the pics.
I will hand this down to the kids.
