That's an interesting question Wheaty because in the introductioin of the sight, it mentions that the case IS the binocular case - or am I mistaken? Any other comments from those that posess them

Thats a new one on me too. As far as I know, the bino case was the only carrier (in conjustion with the special FLS insert). Perhaps there is another part to be found!

I wonder if there was a lined FLS case, similar to the standard bino case. In much the same way as the lined compass pouch that was identical(?) to the pistol ammo pouch except for being felt lined.

Having said that, the FLS frame is a tight fit into the normal bino case

er........................, well what is it then? Apart from the fact that one holds a pair of binos and the other holds a FLS box!

Yes Warren,I have them both logged.
I'm presuming that by the correct bino case you mean that 39 period dated to the FLS the bino cases would not have had the side buckles ?

Yes, but it's still a bino case Wheaty, albeit a 1939 bino case worn on the belt!

Peter: The case without the buckles is a 37 Pattern case .....It appears most were used for the FL sight as they did not have the side buckles....
