    My 1941 Long Branch

I still need to find a walnut forearm. I stained the crap out of this one and I bubbaed the Ishapore screw but it will get me by until the right one shows it self.
The front band is a Savage but I will replace it soon.
The rear sight is from a No.5 but it was very cheap and it too will get me by until the right part presents it self.
Just as a reminder this is what it started as.

LOL! At least Bubba left you with a decent amount of forearm. Made a 180 mi. round trip for this Savage about 5 years ago. Luckily it's all matching except for the wood of course. Now it is all back to mil-spec and is my go to Enfield for real accuracy. Has an excellent 5 groove barrel and when I put the S-K mount with scope on, the old girl will put 5 shots using handloads into an inch @ 100 yds. It is a Mk1/3 ftr'd in 1952 and has the nicest trigger of all my Enfields. Your rifle looks very nice! It is always fun to see the before & after of these rescue jobs! I need to get some pics of mine as it looks now. BTW that's a "low wood" stock, and I would overlook the ishy screw if I had a stock like that. They arent exactly common.

Great to see the finished product, gee it was one ugly bugger to start with.
