There is a very distinct grit blast line on that receiver.

Brian is that the 2nd from the last pic from the bottom, right side?
I thought the difference was from the 2 tone area...?
Thanks, Andy

or am I missing something?
You are.
Are you saying that, in the first picture, you cannot see a distinct two-tone appearance on the receiver? That is the boundary between where the receiver was grit blasted and where is wasn't.:
It cannot be Dulite. Inland did not use Dulite. It could be a black oxide finish though.
Andy, you are the person best able to tell us whether the finish on that carbine is phosphate or black oxide. It's in your possession. Look at the bottom of the receiver in bright sunlight. Take a picture and post it. If it's a black oxide finish, it will be a lustrous blue.

Chris, I see the 2 tone, I meant black oxide, the Dulite was WRA...my earlier Inland doesnt have this line..note pics shown 346-8, both have lines, however mine is more like the bottom pic.

Are you talking about 208499? If so, I'm pretty sure it does have the two tone. You can see it in this picture. Post a photo of the left side of the receiver, and we'll take a look.
