Thoughts on Concealed Carry
For more years than I'd care to recall I've had a gun secluded on my person somewhere. No, I didn't always have a CCW permit. During all those years I've never had to present the gun to stop a fight, but many times along the way I was mighty glad I was armed.

What's the old saying? "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I've had my ccw for about 3 yrs and I'm still getting used to carring it. I don't always carry it but for backup I have some strong peeper spray on my key chain. I'm always amazed when talking to people who show concern about their safety but don't try to be very aware of their surroundings and habits and don't even carry some spray.

I've CCW'd for a lot of years; as LEO and with a CWP. Never yet had to actually fire, but have been glad I was armed a bunch of times. Once, I saw trouble approaching, and turned so I could surreptitiously gain a firing grip on a holstered revolver. "Trouble" wasn't really sure what I was up to, but didn't like it. They reversed direction and headed back through the parking lot.
