    Another piece of creative merchandising?

    I was actually looking for something different when I stumbled across the mysterious XIIEI and this object. Is this one of the so-called "Tanker" rifles.

    Looks to me like a plain carved-up Ishy.

    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Navy Arms/Gibbs Rifle Co. are making these up. They cut up original Indians to make this stuff. The have collecting interest if you also collect Golden State Arms/ Santa Fe cut ups from lthe 1960s.

    I have passed comment on the thread above regarding this. We have a saying in Englandicon and it's this.

    BUYER BEWARE

    And just in case you haven't read that properly, I'll say that again. BUYER BEWARE

    Well, the only thing I could decipher was the pics. Chopped up Ishy for sure. Can't read or speak anything but good old English (with US accent). Have seen a couple of Britishicon lady commentators on TV and Lord, how I do love to hear them talk! Doesnt get any better!

    I suggest that anyone reading this divert his attention to the thread titled Xiie 1 if you want the full story. But while you divert your attention there, make sure that you don't divert your money to the subject in hand.

    As the wise old John Sookey told me. You buy the rifle and not the story. X11 indeed...........................

    Mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut.

    Regarding the Navy Arms "tanker" that Patrick asked about;
    ..Originalzustand (umgebaut auf Einzellader)
    Do I understand correctly that this one has been modified to single-shot?
