He started the auction off to high may be the problem. I'm not the most knowledgeable about accessories, but it does look good compared to mine.

If he did that, what a fool.
I wasn't even seeing that, I was looking at the construction of the holster.
    Good catch Harlan

You should at least give your guy a B+ for mostly coloring inside the lines Charlie!
Some people shouldn't play with anything more dangerous than non-toxic washable crayons from kindergarten!

Dave, I was just as you when I first looked at that auction -
I was studying the details under magnification; especially scrutinizing the markings and then I backed out to notice the 'smoking gun' (Sharpie)

I could just imagine the guy looking at faded original markings and saying to himself -
"Boy, I know how to fix that right up"
(He could have purchased a lot of coloring books for $200!)

Heck, I've been more gullible than most people. I used to believe that people were basically good!
Then about ten years ago, just after I bought my first carbine I met a GUY named ‘Mitzi’ on eBay

Small auction photo about the size of this thumbnail below -
M1icon Carbine Sling with Genuine WWII C-Tips’

(I didn't even question it and thought eBay investigated crooked sellers back then!)

Bob (AKA USGI) will get a kick out of this - It's happened to most of us at some point Bob (Or will)
ENLARGE it ALL the way with the little box on the bottom of the frame and have one on me

It was a fake D-tip sling with the tips removed and used C-tips loosely hammered onto it!

How many people do they say unsatisfied customers tell? (Ten years later)
