    Whatever happened to GunPal?
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Just one question: what has all this to do with the .22 smallbore forum?

Oh, well that's a relief, I thought I had failed to understand the connection. Now I know that there is none, I can sit back and enjoy!

    E-Bay owns PayPAL
E-Bay won't use anything but PayPal
Both E-Bay and Pay Pal get a cut.

    Great racket huh?"

Get a credit card ONLY for PAYPAL. You can get as many credit cards as you like, but just dedicate one to PayPal with a MAXIMUM limit of $500.00 (minimum now). Punch a hole in the card and just use it for internet purchases. Stores will not take the card with a hole in it and with a $500 limit you are safe. If you do need more on the card, phone the card company and tell them this is a one time purchase of $XXX to Joe Doe and they will authourize it. I run that way and like it. I have one card for the cell phones, one for internet purchases, one for foreign money purchases (US funds) and the others are just regular cards and all from the same bank. My postie loves me with the amount of mail he carries here!!! :-)##

That had to be the worst EFT system..I do not think that they are in existence anymore..could be wrong. Thousands of $$ went missing or was hung up in numerous bank accounts for months. They took over $3k from me to transfer to a seller. The transaction took over 4 months. AuctionArms dropped them like a lead balloon and you can see a whole forum on Calguns.net as well as on the Auction Arms site. As for Pay Pal, I have used it for many things and it is all about convenience...other than their convenient 4% charge when you receive funds into your account.

I use Paypal almost exclusively for online purchases and have never had a problem with it.

I find it to be extremely convenient as a buyer. As a seller, you need to figure in the costs of the transaction into the sale ahead of time.

That is a great idea Wheaty and a very easy way to keep track of your accounts. I have a Visa card that has a CREDIT of 17 cents on it and for five years they have sent me a statement each month. Had a fight with them years ago over someone using my card to subscribe to a internet "porn" site and they refused to give the details as the card was so rarely used it could only have been from one of two locations. I figure I'll let them waste money forever sending me statements that they OWE ME 17 cents. Never get mad, just get even. LOL
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

recently i had a buyer who would only use it , so i reactivated , he didnt pay , i should not have shipped without confirmation , ive done that often when i was comfortable with the buyer , but that is the ONLY one that ever stiffed me , he was in europe so you all need not worry much ,

now ive got a small amount of cash in the account from a recent rash of sales as a result of cleaning the storage areas , ive asked for a check - they say two weeks - is that reasonable when the deposits are made instantly from the folks i dealt with ? just wondering , im not upset or in a hurry ,

but they took $15 from my account so far , is that normal ?
Yeah paypal has its advantages and its flaws. The nice thing on ebay is you can make sure you are paid quickly so you can ship the item. I only deal with people that can deposit into my paypal account in order to avoid scams. I have done that for a while and had no issues.
