The value of these rifles is so much in flux at present, many of us owners are wary about quoting a price since they have been raising so rapidly.

I remember 35 years ago when I first found out that there was a johnson rifle. The values quoted in books was around $600 (I think). It was 20 years before I actually saw one for sale. The same held true for a webley-fosberry automatic revolver. I've given up on owning either one now but if I win a lot of money, they'll be on the top of my list again.
    Good hunting.

    Johnson M1941 Rifle

Back (way back) in the early 1960s, when I first started spending my Saturdays turing the Northern NJ gun stores, Service Armament Co, Bogota, NJ (for runner to Navy Arms Corp.) sold Johnson M1941 rifles for $79.95. Bayonets were $2.50 extra, and ammo was $4.50 a hundred rounds.

I am looking for one that is correct, no stock replacement or missing bayonet lug or other things like that. The one that went on GB for over $13,000 suprised me a bit. I think if I keep looking I'll find one in my price range, under $6000.
