    Question M1 carbine with TE on stock?

    Im looking for ww2 arsenals during ww2,and the meaning of the letters on the stocks of rifles that through these rebuilds.I had a list but canot find it!I have a m1 carbine with TE on stock,I have no idea what that stands for.thanks,terry.

    Don't know of a TE. Could that be the inspector's initials along with the Arsenal initials. Can you post a picture?

    I believe it stands for Toole. I cannot remember where it was located.

    I was thinking myself that Toole, UT used TE on Garandicon rebuilds.
    The old arsenal is on what is now Hill AFB, IIRC

    Dave,

    I have seen it penciled on the receiver. But ter-re said TE on stock not on the receiver. That I have not seen.
