    .303 e.a.l.

    Hello

I just aquired a Enfield Essential Agencies LTD .303 Serial# is in the 1500's.
It looks like it has shot very few rounds if any at all. I got it from the estate of a man who was in the RCAF. Two questions...One.. What is it worth? but more importantly how do i get a 5 or 10 round Magazine for it?

    Thanks for any help

That serial number range makes it a commerical EAL. Any No4 10 shot magazine will fit...if you're looking for the correct one it should be "CA" marked. Value depends on condition and any modifcations. Can you post a picture? Ron

It's pretty simple. Look at the top of any forum and you'll see "sticky" threads for help marked in BLUE, which go over the process (with pictures) step by step ...

How do I show pics from Photobucket, Flickr, ImageShack etc. on milsurps.com? (click here)

How do I upload pictures to my posts for storage on milsurps.com? (click here)

If you still can't figure out how to post pics, then simply email them to me at badger@milsurps.com and I'll host and post them for you under your name in this thread.

    Regards,
    Doug

As for your 5 round mags, they show up time to time. There were two on the table behind mine at the Calgary show. He didn't sell them either. They'll be there next year.

A little off topic but I ran the numbers through DND and there still remain 164 of the EALs in the CF Depots.

There also is a number of EAL profile rifles in the mapping section as well. They have the same configuration as the EAL but have Long Branch serial numbers.

I have seen a EAL drilled and tapped for a scope?? I read some had this done does anyone have any idea as to how many?
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
