I did try and load up some pictures of my e.a.l. but i used my wife's new fancy camera. Too much resolution - I still live in a Dial up world, and it was going to take 32 hours to down load 4 pic's. I'm not interested in selling it, but i was curious as to what it might be worth???? ballpark. Sorry for the slow response but i don't sit in front of a computer very often.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. There are EAL rifles in service with the Rangers. There was a recent colour photo of young man carrying his rifle at a shoulder arms position.

As for Warren's remarks about EALs in the mapping division of the CF, that is correct. When Mapping and Charting Establishment was surveying its *** off in the Arctic, the parties always had rifles for bear defence. One fellow was awarded a Chief of the Defence Staff Commendation for shooting a polar bear that was chasing another worker.

NSN 1005-21-808-9499 "Rifle Caliber .303" Twelve rifles were returned to Stores in '01. The other 7 assigned to AE1786 were returned previously. One in '94 after failing tech inspection, and the other six after '98 and before '01.
