Rant, How many people back out of buying rifles from you?

I figured id ask a ovious question, do some guys on this forum or others back out of buying your rifle or tire kick alot? I had it happen 3 times with a Carbine and 2 with my Garandicon im selling so far. Goes into wanting special pictures , phone calls , tons of emails then they brake contact or tell you a reason to back out. Id understand if they didnt like the rifle after seeing certain pictures , im talking about the guys that say "yeah il take it" "or I have a rifle I will trade you" then dont.

I feal better now... ha ha, Jay

There are so many wannabe's out there, there are always going to be more tire kickers than actual buyers

In addition to handling disputes directly between members in this Member Disputes Forum, we have an integrated a member-to-member Classifieds Feedback system called iTrader. It can be used for both the simple Guns, Parts and Accessories Quick Shopper areas mentioned above, as well as the more formal Quartermaster Stores classifieds system.

It gives members a clearly defined method to handle positive, negative and neutral feedback, as it pertains to both these areas. The system is really easy to use and the member's trader rating appears in two places. First it may viewed under his standard member profile as a separate tab of information. To see your own profile and iTrader Feedback, look at the top right corner of the web site screen and click with your mouse on the phase My Profile. Second, you can look at the left panel of any member's posts under the phrase iTrader Rating. You may click on the number beside that phrase and view any member's iTrader Detailed Information, including what previous buyers or sellers had to say about their experience with them. It also handles direct feedback based upon a specific ad, or can be used in a general sense without needing a link to any ad at all.

    Regards,
    Doug

    Back Outs

I once sold a guy a brand new shotgun at a gun show. He paid by check. He then stopped the check. I called him and asked what was wrong. He said the inside of the barrel was rusty. What it really was was cosmolineicon. I told him new firearms are like new babies-they have to be cleaned up. But I honestly think his wife threw a monkey wrench in the whole deal. Then again I had a guy at another gun show inspect another brand new shotgun with a jewelers loop. Go figure. The world is full of people that need a guardian or keeper or someone to oversee their every move.

I haven't tried a selling anything here on Milsurps, but I've sold about 10 guns over at CGN and never had anyone back out of an agreed sale.

I'd never had one until about a year ago I was selling a 1903, everyone love it, got about 5 people wanting to buy it in the first hour, the first guy just stopped communicating when he said he pay "no worries" and then the next 2 down the list did the same! No big deal but what a pain.
