    My new Inland arrived!

I bought this one on Auction Arms for $635 and consider it a real bargain. The SN is 5421273, barrel date 8-44 and the muzzle gauges and looks new. I disassembled it and checked the parts using War Baby as a guide. The rear sight is marked PI and should be HI and the safety is unmarked and should be EI or HI. Other than that it is all correct including the very dark black walnut stock and handguard. The seller took excellent pictures and close-ups of all the markings he could read and mentioned it was from a large estate auction. I am real pleased with this rifle as the only other Inland I own is a Detroit Police Department mixmaster. Regards, Rick.

Good buy, the rear sight is correct but the safety and barrel band are both incorrect (the wrong type).

One thing I've learned from you guys is that not everything in War Baby is correct. There is nothing that can replace the years of experience and knowledge you find on this forum. I noticed another incorrect part on the rifle.....The handguard is a 2 rivet and I need a four rivet. I was so concerned with the letters, I couldn't see the forest for the trees! I have worked out a trade with PI and he has the other two parts so it will be good to go in a few days.

Glad to hear the parts for Frank worked out. Regards, Rick.

Either a two rivet or four rivet hand guard would be correct.

If you have Inland-marked stock and hand guard, that's much more important than rivet count. Very nice stock!
