These rounds will be passed on for several generations. Dave at RMC is an artist!





They fit great and extract great. Now to load them and make it to the range.

Note: the unprimed and unloaded 12 guage shell weighs 10 grams, the RMC 12/14 gauge shell weighs 45 grams.

Just keep in mind that these are machined brass and not drawn brass....different alloy, different character. They are more brittle and must be annealed virtually every use or will split...which would be a waste of very expensive cases.

CNC lathe turned brass, from bar stock.
You know Richard, as they are never crimped or packed to the brim, I did not even think of annealing.
I have sent Dave at RMC an email, asking what he suggests for his shells.

Sir,

as long as the case fits the chamber correctly and the overshot wad is glued in place annealing should not be required.
If you try to crimp the case mouth to hold the overshot wad, you will just reduce the case life drastically as is not necessary. but if you do crimp the mouth the case will require annealing, and the frequency will have to be determined by the amount you crimp etc. there is no set number of times.......... it is all governed by your gun and loading techniques.
