I would apply some raw linseed oilicon on that stock as it looks dry.

Yes, I can be hardheaded too! Regards, Rick.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Wink 4,58 Rock-Ola

I wouldn't change anything on it except mag. cat.,safety and stock. Everything else looks period correct to me. It's much to early for a round bolt or stamped/welded triggerhousing. Bill

The trigger housing would be a stamped type. The bolt could be either flat or round; round bolts were in use by the 4.58 range, regardless of type the bolt would be marked on the left lug.
