DEWAT GERMAN WEHRMACHT MG-34

The receiver is marked Waffenamt 11 or WaA 11 (no letter code) in two places below the 1920 serial number on the receiver.
That is the maker, Maget 1939-40, Berlin, and they changed to the 3 letter code cra in 1940-43.

A very nice Dewat German MG34 done by John at Wolverine Supplies in Virden, Manitoba. Parts are marked with many WaffenAmts and Eagles. Bolt handle moves back and forth. Wood Buttstock. A removeable carry handle (from a 1919A4/1919A6 or BAR) is bolted on to the barrel for the convenience of lugging it around.

Includes an MG-34 Ammo Box (250 rounds capacity), Ammo Basket (50 rounds capacity), Starter Tab, and 5 x 50 Round Belts.

1) Mine will cost a lot more than $2500 (they sell for $4000 WITHOUT all the goodies I've collected such as ammo carriers, spares, extra barrels, etc.)
2) I'm not really planning on selling at this time...

I ran an estate sale in 1993 which included 30+ dewat machine guns. I sold an MG 34 with all the goodies for $4,500.00. The gun looked a bit different than that in so far as finnish was different, the stock was much darker and the Ammo boxes and mags were blued, not painted. The fellow that bought it was from PA. and bought it as an active gun, he sent it to Ohio Ordinance with several other guns he bought (including a dual barrel MG 81). They are all doing fine and consume massive amounts of ammo. The guns were quite original, they came directly from Germany VIA Val Forgett. I only wish I had the money at that time, but, in this state I can't have a live one-SDH

LOL, I could say the same to you.

Seems we have the opposite problem. You've got an 8mm MG that you can shoot and not enough ammo. I've got an 8mm MG that I can't shoot, and a pile of ammo.

I'd glady send you a case of 8mm if it meant I could take my Bren to the range again.
