Ross Mk III bolt - loose in the rails.

I was looking at a Mk III Ross recently (still in military trim), for consideration of purchase, and noticed something that seemed a bit odd to me... the bolt, once the trigger is pulled, can be rattled up and down and side to side by hand in the rails. As well, if you continue to pull the trigger, the trigger actually "lifts" the bolt in the rails.

I have two Mk IIIs, and neither of those two exibits the same behaviour. I'm looking for input from other Ross owners as to whether this behaviour is unique or relatively common, and whether it's fixable or if I should consider it a deal-breaker.
