Talking Lee Enfield No.4 Mk. 1* Service Rifle (NZ Auction)

    How about this price!

Lee Enfield No.4 Mk. 1* Service Rifle

With a heavy heart and some trepidation I am offering one of my prize Lee Enfield Riflesicon for sale.

This No 4 is in pristine condition.I have not seen another to match it.

This is a Long Branch manufactured 1942 with all matching numbers on receiver, bolt and magazine.

It is NZ broad arrow marked with regimental numbers matching on bolt receiver and magazine.

    The numbers are:11L18920
    :44927

I purchased this rifle some years ago in unfired condition.Since that time it has had approximately 200 rounds put through. The ammo used was Sierra hollow point boattail 174 gr Matchking loaded with 37 gr of ADI 2206.

This rifle shoots very well with this ammo.I have not used military ammo as I only shoot hand loads through such beautiful rifles these days.

    To describe this:

The wood work is all matching and in as new condition.Really photos do no show the quality of the stock. It is all in original military trim. The butt has the brass buttplate which is also unmarked. To summarise the stock is 10/10.

The barrel and receiver and all metal parts have a deep perfect blue that can only be described as 10/10.

    The barrel itself is perfect.10/10.

The only fault with this rifle is shown in the photo of the bottom of the magazine. When the Regimental numbers[44927] were stamped into the base it has dented this area a little. This could be knocked flat from the inside but as this is how I got it unfired I have been loath to touch it.

This auction is for what I am claiming is the best No 4 Service Rifle I have owned or seen. You can bid with confidence that this is so.I am wanting serious money for it.The opening bid shows that.

I am happy to answer any questions on this firearm.

The winner will be required to demonstrate to my satisfaction that they hold a current FAL.

Happy bidding to all Lee Enfield afficiandos..
    Sold for $1,830.00

    Regards,
    Badger
