Pictures, man! we need pictures. Anyone else collect stuff like that?

I waited until a bloke at work got retrenched years ago so I could have locker number 303. When the place shutdown I grabbed the engraved labels, 303, 308, 310 and a few others..

Shepherd Neame, the brewers of Spitfire sponsor our rugby club (Canterbury RFC). They run a really excellent spitfire campaign based on WWII with a lot of funny slogans. Examples: Spitfire - no Fokker comes close; Spitfire - Only rear gunners drink lager; Spitfire - bottle of Britainicon etc.

They sell glasses on their website and the slogan book. Obviously the whole WWII thing is popular here in Kent.

My gun club membership was #303 last year and I had to settle for #300 this year. Although they don't understand, yes it matters.

My favourite one of their's was 'Downed all over Kent - just like the Luftwaffe'.

On the subject of significant numbers, I took great childish pleasure in the fact that our hotel room number in Düsseldorf a few years back was '109'.

From what I recall on the UKicon pint beer glasses, the number 303 under the crown was the Weights and Measures inspectors number

In Canadaicon, motor vehicle licence plates in many jurisdicta are three numbers, three letters. Several years ago, an elderly local gent was driving about with "303 BNP" hanging from his Oldsmobile while another chap had "455 BNP". And they weren't even collectors: just luck of the draw, quite enough to provoke public weeping and devious scheming.

Right now I'm waiting for the Gummint to decide when they intend to bring out new plates. I REALLY want "303 BNP"!
