    Ruth isn't wrong. He states the flat bolt was in use by U.E.F. through late Feb 1944. A 2,795,xxx Underwood was assembled well before Feb 1944.

    Ruth states that the flat bolt with U under the left lug was only used till mid Feb. 1943. From then on the markings were SU, WU or CU below the left lug till Feb. 1944 when the type 3 bolt came into use with WU or U under the left lug. That's why I was asking if Ruth is wrong on this so I may make note of it. TK
