I have seen and handled a few Savage Enfield Rifles
but this is something I have never encountered............"made in usa"??? Just doesnt ring true to me.Attachment 23550

Did they ever make them the civilian market or sell non "lease lend" ie no "U.S.Property"?

Nope.......... All Savage production was for the British Government. Paid for, up front, in gold until lend lease time. Then loaned or leased. But the property rights and contractual rights remained with the UK Government
