    New Winchester Carbine

Hi, I recently bought this carbine off of the CMPicon boards and it is my first carbine that may be able to be restored with a few parts. The person I bought it from (thanks Brandon) got it from another CMP member who bought it at the North store. It came with a lot of original parts and he added the dogleg hammer and barrel band. Can anyone tell from the pics if the rear sights were original or added and if it ever had a bayo lug?

Re Rear sight. Have a look at the fit, machining marks, and staking, especially on flipper pin, on Carbines close to that serial number. Good luck.
