Also, I really like seeing carbines with the later features in collections. I think I'm a minority sometimes but I appreciate carbines with the later features as much as carbines with early parts.

When I still had a my collection I was trying to get one each of every maker I could find, or afford, and I didn't care so much if it had later features. I liked having carbines I felt were in the same condition as when they left service.
Thanks, I like them as correct as they can be, but I am partial to type 2 rear sights, and I shoot them all. And, its hard to find a real flip sight!

Rustship, when you initially pictured the two racks togather, I liked them so well that I emailed Scott Jones, the guy that makes them, and asked if he could make the "rear" rack taller to give it a 6 gun tier effect. He was very accomodating and for a very modest price increase is doing that. I will attach two furniture latches...one on each inside to hold the two racks firmly when I set them up at a gun show so that they don't tip over.

Glad it will work out for you. Let me see some pictures when they get finished, I might have to go that route also. These Bricks are heavy!

Went to Lowes just to browse fasteners and i think window latches might work well since they are the type things that can be tightened. Won't buy anything till I get them set up and see what I need. Might only need the simple screen door type hook & eye.
