    1937 Frankford Arsenal bandolier (loaded!)

Picked this up a couple months ago, in a full-service gun shop. It was laying on the counter, and the salesperson said someone had just brought it in for sale on consignment. I didn't want some deer hunter grabbing it for next season, so I asked what the price might be. He said $35, but reduced it to $30 since I was wearing my VN veteran t-shirt, and it was Veterans Day Weekend.

The headstamp is F A 3 7. Each pocket contains a two-clip cardboard sleeve with two disposable-type brass stripper clips, and the neck sling still has the black safety pin. The bottom inside of each cardboard sleeve has ten pockets that the bullet points slip into. A very nice package, pretty much in mint condition, except for a couple little tears in the sling. But I am not a vintage ammo collector, and could not display this when I sometimes do a US Military Equipment display, due to restrictions on live ammo. So I don't know what I'll do with this, since I also think it would be wrong to shoot it all. ...Any suggestions?

If you wait a second the guys will probably overwhelm you with PMs. I think you already did the right thing, pick it up out of the darkness and offer it to collectors. There aren't many of those left around.
