Question about my newest Garand

I recently bought my 3rd Springfield Armory Garand at a bankruptcy liquidation sale. I'm still trying to learn what I can about them. This one has a serial # 20565xx on the receiver. Barrel is dated 10-55.
The question I have about it is this: The op- rod is marked IHC. I never knew IHC made Garand parts ( shows how new I am to these rifles), only thought they made carbine parts.
Anyway, is the IHC considered a "correct " part for this Springfield?
Only other parts not Springfield are the WRA trigger guard and WRA safety lever.

The rifle was rebuilt in 10-55 so any parts on hand at the time were considered fair game. It was probably used in WW2, rebuilt after that and fought again in Korea. It would have been rode hard there so another rebuild after that one. Very historic weapon so I would probably just leave it, since finding the correct barrel and stock will be prohibitively expensive. And changing a few parts would be beside the point.

IHC is one of the four companies that produced Garands for the US. The others are Springfield, Winchester & Harrington & Richardson.
Springfield and Winchester were the only ones making Garands during WWII which is when your Garand was made. IHC & H&R made them during the 50s so any parts from these manufactures would not be correct. Your Garand should have all SA parts and was made in October of 1943.
By the way, If you do want to swap parts to make it correct, be aware that IHC and Winchester parts usually are more valuable than their SA & H&R counterparts.

Not to be too "nit picky," but the 10-55 barrel date doesn't mean the rifle was rebuilt during that month and year, it's just the month and year the barrel was made. That barrel could have been added at any time after its manufacture.

And IHC did not make carbine parts that I'm aware of . I stress the not aware of part , because lots of companies made runs of different parts at different times , so it's easy not to be aware of one. They were not a big or long time player , anyway.
