    Saginaw value

I have a question about a Saginaw carbine. I can buy this carbine ( see the pics )
The barrel is from 1943 and the serialnr. starts with 36xxxxxx
What is a fair price for this one ?

Welcome to the site. The photos you posted are really too small to make a fair assessment of this carbine.

I don't know how much a value we might put on it here in the states is going to help you in the Netherlands. Maybe someone like Gunner might have a better value estimate.

IF it's all original and has not be through a rebuild then the big factor is condition. The value would be between $1200 and $2000 in good to excellent condition here in my area.

Finally, after two months, i can put here the pictures of the M1icon carbine.
I have bought it because the rifle looks to me very original and in an excellent condition. It is a Saginaw S'G' with serial number 3606XXX.
What is your opinion about it, are all the parts okay ?
The most important parts are :
    barrel - Inland 10-43
stock - S'G' with crossed canons
    handguard - RSG
rearsight - S on the left and B-S'G' on the right side
    leaf - B-S'G'
    front sight - N
    barrel band - unmarked
    triggerhousing- S'G'
    hammer - S'G'
    magazinecatch- B-IP
    magazine - U , original ??
    buttplate - unmarked, i don't see a missing dot, original ?? , maker ??
I got with the gun also a bag, inside the name HAV. STCH. CO 1943. Is this bag original and what means the name ?
Also i got a sling, no markings on it and undated, and a oiler, marked IS.

    Nicely illustrated carbine

The pictures of the carbine are excellent, clear and in focus.

The difference in prices have begun to vary with the economy. Gun show prices continue to escalate. This weapon would probably have an asking price of $2500 on the the tag.

My weapon trading buddy in Arkansas just negociated a "correct mix master" sale from his collection for $800.

I would say in the $1500.00 to $2000.00 range as well. Very nice S'G'. Thank you for sharing.

The name on the case is the company that made the case for the government in 1943. You have an original S'G' carbine and it looks great.
