Canvas Pistol Pouch

While I'm at it, I also found a box of these unusual pistol pouches. Made from canvas - probably British style but not a type I'm familiar with. Any one here able to ID it?

It is in the form of a UK P37 pistol ammo pouch, save the odd semi-P44 closure. Also The web material is too fine a weave. I am going to guess post WW2 Indian mfg... Any other ideas?

that was my guess as well , but did south east asia post users get into P37 gear ?
