Difficult to get lower than that!

Well I reckon that's going to be the winner. Unless, of course, someone has the number 0001 without the A!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. OMG, what a place for a typo! My Argentineicon M1909 is not serial number A0001, it is A0002. I wish it was number 1! I also have what is probably a salesman's sample FN Herstal Mauser, stamped 93/1907, which is serial number 8 on all parts. My P14 is 3 digit, but sadly while the bolt and receiver match, the rearsight is off by about 500000 digits..........

    Cheers

    Ed

OH, well that's different then, boltaction. You only have the second Argentineicon M1909. Common as dirt.

Thanks for the photos. Amazing you found three such low serial numbered rifles!

Yes, I would love to know who has A0001. I'd also love to find the matching bayonet for my piece--THAT would be cool!

    Oh, my!

    Head hung in shame.

All I can offer is this Royal North West Mounted Police carbine that showed up recently. LEC Mark I, 1894, serial number 45.

Yeah, I know; there are 44 more before it, but it`s what I have......
