A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Mudgee, lovely collection.
Have to confess I never heard of a Patt 14 SMLE. I was expecting to see .22 P14s.

I put a Parker no.9g on my pattern 14 no.1. It's one of my favourites. Nice to see yours and with a Parker Hiscock no less!

I als own one of the smle based .22 trainers, mine is a no2 mk4 converted from a patt' 14 during standardisation in the 1920's, its great fun to shoot and is a proven competition winner when i'm having a good day! if you skip over to the lee enfield forum you will find a whole series of very interesting articles on this series of trainers, it has all the info yuo could possibly need, but be warned, there are lots of variants and you will soon want them all!!!
