A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I have one of these that I believe is unissued. Yours is fabulous though, I have never seen such a fine example. 1908 Brazilianicon is by far my favorite for many reasons. Here is a few pics of mine:

Nice Mauser, they are beautiful guns. I have three of them, two in VG to Exc condition and one unfired but don't have the sling, and factory target.
Did you get the matching bayonet, sling, and factory target with it?

Thanks to all for the nice comments....

Patrick, it has never been shot , (except on the target below) and the cleaning patch was never removed from the rod and never used.

amsdorf, in 6 months, I'll post another one, better than this one?

Mentis, nice one you got there.

Kurgan, you are right, my venezuelean made by Herstal has nicer wood and is shorter. I will try to take a few nice pictures.

    Albayo....

Lovely rifle, and definitely not too good to be true. Brazilianicon 1908's seem to come in two groups--virtually unissued, (sometimes with original target, bayonet, etc, and sometimes those have gotten lost), and fairly used, beat up but still serviceable. The Brazilian M1935's seem to be found more often in the very good to pristine category. Argentine M1909's are more commonly used a fair amount.
