    To the Arisaka guys

Alright I bought a Arisakaicon last night and wanted to know what model it is and what caliber. This rifle is in great shape mechanically, the stock is pretty beat up. Theres not much for markings on it serial number 55108Attachment 26940

Type 99 in 7,7mm. Stock looks pretty good, actually. The rifle likely just needs a gentle cleaning.

That I know of everything is on it except maybe a dust cover if this model had it. What are these things worth we paid 75 and it came with a parts gun. And is that 7.7 by 55 or what am I looking for for ammo.

You need 7.7x58 ammo for your rifle. If you will post a good clear picture of the left side of the receiver someone will tell you where it was made and the series.

And for $75, you stole it... Looks like the mum is gone so it won't be worth quite as much as it could be, but still a nice rifle that, once it cleans up, would be worth maybe $350ish or maybe a hair more depending who made it and when, matching numbers, bore, yadda yadda

    Toyo Kogyo, series 33 (?)

    Toyo Kogyo Arsenal
The dust cover was dropped with Series 32.
The small mark in the ring in front of the number looks like the Series 33 symbol, but you really need a good close-up photo to be sure.
