    No32 Mk1 Eye relief

I spent part of yesterday afternoon putting some shots down range with my 4(T) At 300m I for the most stayed in the 8/9/10 rings and reset the windage zero. Given that is was factory S&B I was dead chuffed however it reminded me of one issue I have. Eye relief. I need to get very close to the 'scope in order to get a good image, this results in the 'scope whacking my shooting glasses which is not fun, if I pull back a bit I get vignetting (is that the word?) and this upsets windage for me, I shoot left.

I am inclined to believe it is my eyes as much as the 'scope. Does anyone know if the eye relief can be adjusted on the No32 Mk1?

Good question Ovenpa, but because of the oiptical arrangement WITHIN the tube, where you have three planes plus an exit to cater for, I don't believe you can change the eye relief.

Any opticians out there care to offer an opinion. I wonder if you could do it with a moveable grat. but it'd have to be with a moving........ I'm thinking out aloud here!!!!!!!!! Have you ever thought about this Warren................?

Actually, I do have a ocular lens extender that did add about 3 to four inches......I even know where it is. I'll dig it out and pop it back on a scope and run the eye relief. You use the original lenses from a Mk.1 scope to extend the relief.Attachment 26955

The need to wear shooting glasses, obviously for protection, is taking about an inch from the normal relief. not many people use glasses with a scope.

I have the same battle with shooting glasses that correct my astigmatism. That is if you can keep your cheek weld so that you look only through the centre of the glasses then you re actually aiming where the target is. A smidge left or right of centre and look out, the target is still wher it was but you are aiming way left or right.

That looks rather interesting, however I do not have a spare Mk1 to chop up, nor would I want to. Is this something I can make with other lenses and let them into a tube?
