03A3 Any additional info please. Thank you, lots of pic's........

Please help me obtain some info and a reasonable value of this 03A3. I know very little about it's origin or worth. I purchased 12 years ago from an old timer. All I remember is him telling me he purchased it in the early 60's but I do not know from where or whom.

I am considering selling it and have no idea what would be a fair price for both me and a possible buyer. I'm not a person who has to get top dollor out of things I sell. I love to get good deals and don't mind passing some good fortune on.

Harland was kind enough to give me some info on this rifle (as I described it) but he had not seen any pictures. Thank you again Harland!

Well here it is, thank you, S/T.

The asking prices for a Remington made 03-A3 such as yours are all over the place. There is not too many variables that will significantly affect the price and yours looks to have very good wood, it has all the correct cartouche, it was made in the last half of 1943 probably about Septemeber and since you don't mention the rifling I would guess it is in acceptable condition and is a two groove barrel but if it is a four groove it should bring a little more and if it is a Marine ordered 6 groove barrel it would be worth significantly more. Yours should bring 700 to 800 dollars although there are a couple on one of the bigger auctions asking 1,100 to 1,200 dollars (they haven't been sold yet but who knows there is sucker born every minute). This is just my opinion only for whatever that is worth.
