You guys who did "time served" in 'Nam, will always have my thanks and appreciation.
I was young during the fall of Saigon. My only memory is of the choppers being pushed off the carriers from the fleeing populace.......
In a different time and place, Jane Fonda would have been tried for treason. No doubt about that... If she would have been photo'd with the Kaiser, or Hitler or Lincoln's assasins.... well.... but that was another time. Not political, just a fact. You are not allowed to give aid or comfort to the Enemy in a time of war.
Regardless, outstanding pictures! You have my thanks!!!

The problem is that these "wars" are unofficial adventures that are brought on
by Presidential Order. They are not real wars which kick in laws that would send Jane away for a few years. Our government has no intention of winning any of these things. They are about exercising the military, getting the air hours, promotions and medals, not about winning anything. The big winners are contractors, the same ones that did it in Vietnam KBR etc. I saw them turn Cam Rahn Bay into an American war supermarket. We used to get our ammunition down there. They went off and left that $1B joke to the Russians. After all of the appetites are satisfied, we leave. The losers are the poor guys who are brain dead, have no legs or the thousands of KIAs. No dissent is allowed as all critics are branded as "Not supporting the troops" which is absolute BS. At some point, even the American public is going to realize what is going on here and raise their voices to stop this crap. The government has lots of money to develop jobs in Iraq and Afghanistan, but none here. They have a billion dollars every three days to **** away in Afghanistan, but none for your Social Security, or fixing the roads, or educating your kids. They have a $55Billion Gestapo in place to watch everything you do, but no firemen to protect your home and family. Jane is nothing I admire at all, but maybe she just had a better take on what was really going on.
