Late 1950- 60s Jacket and Nav instruments

Here's the jacket my Dad used while flying B-52s over the arctic with the big one. The instruments he told me he used while flying a small blue twin called the T-bird out of Whiteman AFB in which he had a landing gear malfunction with no warning until he hit the runway and the sparks gave it away. Yes it was a night landing.

Those N-2B's, or the newer version (might have changed nomenclature, but they look essentially the same) are still issued.

I was deployed with a guy who'd been at Minot before he PCS'd to Englandicon and then deployed as soon as he got there (yeah, messed up body clock!) and he had 2 just like that.

Did it have the real fur? My dad had a hat that I wore in the snow at Whiteman it was made of wool had the fur and I think you tied it (no snaps) . I have the modern ones they don't itch like that old one did.
