Question on importing firearms from Canada.

Ok, I got a question for the experts. Are we able to purchase C&R firearms from Canadaicon and have them shipped to the U.S.? I’m sure this question has been discussed before but I could not find any specific previous posts. I've heard and read so many different opinions on this issue, anyone have any input on this?

I know I can ship a rifle from here to you as long as it's not an LL. The rest seem do-able. Just takes money. And some paper. And looking through a couple of loop holes.

What is an LL? Sorry, still new here and trying to learn the ropes. How much extra is it?

It's my understanding that it is difficult or not doable. Hard to get a clear answer.

A Lend Lease was delivered to a foreign govt and cannot be re entered into the US. That's it. The rest, I know personally of a number of Winchester rifles and a few hand guns that were shipped into the US. Now, this was before 9-11 and I"m not certain if it's happened since. I think it has though. Can you not find out from US customs directly?
    Regards, Jim

You could ask Brian Dickicon, he advertises an import service.

I have asked both Customs (CBP) and ATF but no one seems to know for sure?? I called marstar about my options but they only stated that it was difficult to do and expensive, they would not elaborate. Can you recommend any one in Canadaicon I could talk to?

The only dealer I know of that does this sort of thing on a regular basis is Joe Salter. It's been a couple of years since I've spoken to him but I know he still does booming business. He would be a good one because he states his guns are in the US(New Hampshire?) and he won't bring them back. I think he will buy here and take them over though. His web site and contact info are available.
    Regards, Jim
