    new Polish44

Just found and bought a Polish Moisin carbine. Never had a rifle in this calibre. Its new. I want to shoot it of course, where can I find ammo in canada? Brass for reloading? What bullet for reloading? Powder recommendations(type not necessarily load) Does one need to shoot it with bayonet extended?I have 100rds of what was said to be heavy ball I bought awhile back, just in case a Moisin fell in my hands. It should be o.k. I guess, no? Clean the rifle after shooting with Hoppe's, windex? soapy water or the Butches Bore shine which I use for everything else?

hi i use 46.5 grains varget behind a 312 sierra 180 grain spitzer bayo extended. its by far the best load ive found.i always clean with boiling water with dishsoap down the barrel probably 3or 4 kettles.when shooting military loads ive got a ishveck 1944 m44 rework.as far as m44s go its the least collectable most common.that being said im not very nice to it (other than rinsing the bore) yours is one of the best so youll want to clean it with more tlc
