    Garand Casing Damage

I got out to the range this week to fire my Garandicon for the first time, and it shot well. However, most of the casing came out looking like this; slightly dented at the case mouth.

Do I have a problem, or is this normal for a Garand? I was planning on getting into reloading, but will these casing even be able to be reloaded?

That's just the action of the case deflecting off the op rod. Nothing unusual. M14s do it too so do carbines and ARs. Some don't but for the most part they do. I've seen them way worse and I still reload them.
    Regards, Jim

And totally reloadable, but keep in mind the general rule is 4X use and recycle the brass. Gas guns like the M1 and M14/M1Aicon are pretty tough on brass. You can switch the brass over to use in bolt guns if you're short on cases, but between the vigorous/violent extraction and the full length resizing, the cases will be too thinned above the case head to keep using in Garands after about the 4th trip through the gun.

Horse hockey. I've used brass as much as 20 times. Until it cracks at the mouth. Then it's done. They won't separate because there's no headspace problem.

I've never made 20x reloads in a Garandicon but I have many cases that made it to 8-10x without any case head separations. I minimally full length size them and check cases in a case length gauge, trimming as needed. The dents you show in the pictures will easily size out during reloading & are very typical of cases fired in a Garand.
