A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Mr cgroc09, I would think all three digit Winchesters that are around - are restorations - unless you know of any originals ?

Known serials 209, 312, 319, 432, 434, 437, 569, 691, 790 & 931. If you know of any others, please add them to this list

I had WRA 185 besides 434 and Tony G has 435 & 436.

790 sold at my home for $15,000 last month after I verified it. It looked pretty nice and had one of the best RS markings I have seen besides one you have. There are a few more I forget at the moment but I think the total is around 40 found so far for the Educational's. Rick B icon

Some additional photos of WRA 100931. Years ago serial number 100047 was found in NJ but my friend was unable to see the rifle.

I realize you are discussing "3 digit" numbers in this thread but how about 001. There is an article in Vol. 10 Number 1 ( Winter 1995) edition of the GCA icon

Journal (Newsletter) about how number 001 ended up in the collection of Larry Kaufman.
