    Reloading the Webley VI .455

I have a couple of boxes of Fiocchi to shoot up, then would like to try reloading some. Do I need a .455 die set, or could I use any combination of .45 Colt dies, Lee .45 Colt Classic hand loader, .45ACP dies, with just the purchase of a .455 Webley shellholder? I'm new to reloading, using some vintage equipment. To date I've reloaded .38 Special, .45 Colt, .303 Enfield. Thanks for any thoughts, Don

I've used .45 Colt dies "forever". You may find a .45 ACP crimping die that'll work, otherwise the .45 Colt die will need serious shortening. Did one that way, and discovered that carbide tooling was just about required to do a good job in a reasonable amount of time. The drama with the shortened .45 Colt crimping die is that you may run out of room for the lock ring, esp. using the Fiocchi brass. The old CIL Dominion brand .455 Colt brass is longer.

Thanks jmoore. Here's a contribution that may be of interest by a fellow on the Culvericon Forum: "Hi
I started with a .303 shell holder .45 Colt size dies .45 ACP flair and seating dies they work just fine for MkI Case MkII are shorter but should work.
    Cheers Gerry"

    Cheers, Don
