Looking for an M48 Barreled action with bolt

Hello all; I am seeking an M48 Barreled action with bolt. Don't worry, I am not planning on building a bubba but I do have a project in mind. I would prefer the bolt to match that's not set in stone and I would also like to have the trigger guard but again, not set in stone. If you guys see one floating around online or know of someone who has one for sale, let me know! I know the m48s aren't too pricey as it is, but I already have a complete stock set that I picked up for cheap and for this project, I would rather it not be a pretty all matching rifle; I wouldn't have the heart to use it!

For those curious, turn to page 191 in Branko's Serbian and Yugoslavian Mauser Rifles and you'll see what I am planning.... More to come soon once I get an action!

Yes I am! And I have found a suitable barreled action actually on Gunbroker this past week and I am pleased as punch to say I won it and it's on the way. I wish I had a picture of the final result, but I will be posting a thread following the whole build, so stay posted.

WELL...... there is a replica mount floating around on several sights from Firefield that's really inexpensive (between $120 and $150, less if I use my employee purchase at work ) and considering how much I'll need to modify the base, I am pretty ok with using it. It is, afterall, just a modified PU scope and mount, the problem is that I cannot find any reviews of the scope and mount from that company and thats keeping me on the fence! Just as well since they are sold out and the manufacturer won't have them until around feb.... so for now we wait and research...

    Hi

I have just finished my M48 sniper.
Read my thread I started last year. ¨M48 sniper¨
Using a Zrak mount, and a Zrak scope 6X42N. A fantastic scope.
All parts from ZrakUS - Zrak Scopes, Zrak Scope Mounts for Yugo M48 Mauser, Yugo M70, Yugo M76, etc.
The mount is the proper mount being a copy of the Germanicon Mauser Banner one (I think it was) first used by Yugoslaviaicon to mount scopes.
All that was needed to get the bolt to pass the scope was to bend it a little and it does not even touch the wood.
It has produced a rifle close to a WW2 Mauser but with a modern scope.
It sits so well in the shoulder and is very stable.
Shooting a more powerful round an 8X60.
